Jyotish is a science of possibilities, tendencies, and a fatalistic or deterministic approach to horoscopes and events is not called for. In this connection, we may quote frequently repeated principles of astrology constantly:

“ फलानि ग्रहचारेण सूचयन्ति मनीषिणः ।

को वक्ता तारतम्यस्य तमेकं वेधसं विना ।। ”

“ Those who know Astrology can only indicate in a way that will take place in the future. Who else, except the Creator Brahma, can say with certainty what will definitely happen ! ”
